It all depends on the look you’re aiming for and the occasion. The pointed-toe flat visually elongates the foot and works easily with anything from jeans to tailored trousers. The slingback bares the heel and offers a lighter silhouette. The loafer provides more structure. Three different ways to wear flats, without making them a default choice.

Are BIKKOU flat shoes suitable for walking all day long?

Our flat models are designed for everyday wear, but comfort also depends on your foot and the chosen style. Shape, width, and support differ between a ballet flat, a slingback, and a loafer. We have added extra padding to the insoles to provide more softness underfoot and improve comfort as the hours go by.

How to wear flat shoes without looking too formal?

By treating them as the statement piece of the look. A round-toe ballet flat, a gold slingback, or a platform loafer is enough to elevate wide-leg jeans, a suit, or a very simple dress. Flats don't need to disappear: they can, in fact, be what gets noticed.

Do ballet flats stretch out over time?

Our Bio-Veg ballet flats have a unique feature: the material reacts to the warmth of your foot. It softens as you wear it, gradually conforming to the shape of your foot for a more comfortable feel. Once the shoe is removed and the material cools down, it naturally returns to its original shape.

It does not "stretch out" in the traditional sense: it adapts to the foot while being worn without losing its structure.

Why this bow on our ballet flats?

We imagined it like a scrunchie tied around the foot: slightly loose, yet structured enough to maintain its volume. Beyond the detail, its proportions create a true optical illusion: the foot appears visually smaller, while balancing the almond shape of the ballet flat.
And because satin remains a delicate material, our models featuring the black satin bow come with an extra pair of bows. We can replace them upon request, by mail or directly at our Geneva boutique.
