The BioVeg

The BioVeg family of products demonstrates how the market for alternative materials is far more sustainable than that of natural leather. Approved by PETA and cruelty-free, they stand out from fossil fuel alternatives thanks to their biological content, derived from plant resources. This was achieved by using biopolyols from non-food, GMO-free grains, combined with textiles made from natural or recycled materials. The use of certified raw materials guarantees their composition: FSC-certified viscose or GRS-certified post-consumer recycled polyester. A comparison of environmental impacts shows that the production of materials in the BioVeg family has lower impacts than tanned leather, particularly in terms of climate change, acidification of aquatic environments, eutrophication, and the use of natural resources.
