The BioVeg

The BioVeg family of products demonstrates how the market for alternative materials is far more sustainable than that of natural leather. Approved by PETA and cruelty-free, they stand out from fossil fuel alternatives thanks to their biological content, derived from plant resources. This was achieved by using biopolyols from non-food, GMO-free grains, combined with textiles made from natural or recycled materials. The use of certified raw materials guarantees their composition: FSC-certified viscose or GRS-certified post-consumer recycled polyester. A comparison of environmental impacts shows that the production of materials in the BioVeg family has lower impacts than tanned leather, particularly in terms of climate change, acidification of aquatic environments, eutrophication, and the use of natural resources.

The pump is, for us, the quintessential elegant shoe. We love its timeless codes, its pointed toe and its slender heel, to which we bring comfort and innovation to anchor it in a contemporary wardrobe.

We have designed it in three heel heights, conceived for different times of the day, from the office to dinner, and even to a night that lingers on. Our proprietary lasts and our signature heel were developed with our artisans in Porto to find the perfect balance between silhouette, support, and comfort. All crafted from innovative, animal-free materials.

How do I choose the right size for high heels?

The shape of a pump matters just as much as the size. A pointed toe naturally leaves less room at the front of the foot and may require a larger size, especially if you are between sizes or have wider feet. At BIKKOU, since each shape has its own fit, we provide a specific recommendation on the product page for every model.

Is a pointed-toe pump necessarily less comfortable?

No. Comfort depends a great deal on the last the shoe is built on, its width, the pitch of the foot, and its support.
Our first lasts were developed with our artisans in Porto, then tested, worn, and adjusted over and over again, until we found the perfect pitch: comfortable enough to be worn, sexy enough to remain a pump.

How to choose your heel height?

There is no one ideal height for every woman. A 6 cm heel will naturally be easier for daily wear than a 10 cm one, but the balance of the shoe, the curve of the foot, and your personal habits matter just as much.
At BIKKOU, each height is designed with the occasion in mind: from the office to dinner, to a night that stretches on. And if you had to choose just one? Our 8 cm remains your favorite: high enough to elongate the silhouette, balanced enough to keep up with you for hours.

Can BIKKOU pumps be worn for several hours?

That is precisely the goal of their design. Our lasts and heels are custom-developed and tested for wearability. Comfort remains inherently personal and depends on both foot morphology and the chosen height: we therefore recommend selecting a model suited to your habits rather than focusing solely on centimeters.

How should we care for our BIKKOU pumps?

Care depends on the material. We generally recommend appropriate waterproofing, gentle cleaning without harsh products, and natural drying. Material-specific advice is provided on our product pages.
